Just today, Apple officially announced it’s new tablet device, the iPad. iPhone apps will be able to run on the iPad, right out of the box. Through Mobclix, developers will also be able to make money on the iPad, without changing a thing.iPad

For the iPad, we’ll have specialized advertising, taking best advantage of the new form factor and potential. Due to the diversity of our ad networks, we already have the ad sizes and types that will work with the new device. Interactive, video, and rich media advertising will bring new levels of engagement to apps. We know our advertisers and ad networks are excited to expand their buys and reach to the iPad, and developers will watch their eCPMs rise.

We already have inventory ready to go in the following sizes: 468 x 60, 300 x 250, 120 x 600 and 728 x 90 (for landscape view).

As with the iPhone, analytics for iPad applications will measure users, session times, and more. We’ll ensure you get every advantage app analytics can offer for this new device.

Share your thoughts on how the new iPad affects your development process.

Well, I see I’ll have to finally update to Snow Leopard to use the new 3.2 SDK beta. ATM I’ve got two apps that need to get out over the next 4-5 months, so I can’t can’t change gears. By the end of the summer, though, I expect to be the proud owner of the $499 iPad and merrily coding apps supporting it’s larger screen size; can’t wait!
